A recent client acquired a Noztek Touch extruder for a distinctive project they were pursuing. This project required polymer extrusion utilizing a filament diameter of 0.8mm. Although we supplied them with blank brass nozzles for drilling purposes, they opted to modify the standard 1.75mm stainless steel nozzle that is typically included with the extruder.
Demonstrating innovative thinking, they enhanced the existing nozzle by incorporating a 6mm thread and affixing a 0.8mm 3D printer nozzle. They provided us with images and noted in an email, “The machine is functioning excellently. As a side note, I made an adjustment to the 3mm nozzle head and had it tapped to fit the 8mm 3D print heads, allowing me to alter the filament size for my project. Attached are some pictures illustrating that it extrudes 0.8mm without any issues.”
